Arizona immigration law controversy

Regardless of what side of the fence you fall on this issue it is understandable that some people are critical of the new law and are concerned about potential profiling. On the other hand our southern border states are seeing a security situation that is going from bad to worse. Either way the new law is a reactionary measure to a problem that has long been a seemingly uninterested Federal government not taking any concrete steps to help stop the unending flow of illegal immigrants into our country and all the problems that follow. This responsibility falls squarely on the lap of the Obama administration and their unwillingness to help these states.   If anything the administration seems to be using this issue to divide those that want their states kept safe at any cost and those that worry that the local authorities will overstep their bounds while being on the lookout for illegal aliens

If you feel the new law in Arizona is too stiff then what would you do to protect yourself if the Federal government was not doing their job to protect your state.

Passing a law like this is an extreme measure brought on by the Feds lack of results in applying a concerted policy to tighten the border security

If you were the state of Arizona what would you do to protect your people from increasing crime, violence and kidnaping that is becoming way too prevalent?

Is the alternative to passing tough state laws to doing nothing while the Feds are making very little effort to reach out to help those states on our border?

The majority of Americans think it is wrong for the Feds to do virtually nothing to fix this out of control problem. Yet the media and the liberals blame Arizona for trying to protect its people

The majority of Americans agree we need to tighten security on our borders

The new law is supported by 60% of Americans and 70% of those who reside in Arizona. It shows the Federal Government needs to step up and address this national security problem

If the Feds are not going to protect the border states, who is? This is the Federal Governments responsibility and yet the states are taking all the heat for trying to protect their own people

Criminal activity has been on an alarming rise along our southern borders and is beyond the scope of what the state governments can handle on their own.

Does the Whitehouse see this as a political opportunity to divide the minority voters from the general public before the November election by sitting on their hands and allowing pressure to build between the two sides? Are they hoping the American public will forgive and forget their flawed healthcare plan and multi trillion dollar deficits that they have incurred when it comes time to vote? Interesting how the liberal media does tons of coverage on the uproar over the new Arizona state law but says very little about the real issue of the Federal government and their responsibility to protect those states. No matter where your opinion falls don’t blame the states for trying to protect their own citizens. Don’t lose sight of the fact that the real blame should be on the Federal government for not doing their job and protecting these states in the first place!
